Plan the bill / guidebook

# What am I actually paying for?

Ask for a complete quote and the terms that come with it.

## Ask for the parts of the bill

Put the care fee, medicine, tests, and any delivery charge on separate lines. Ask which parts are included, which can change, and which continue if no medicine is prescribed.

## An online care fee may be a membership

In a September 2026 sample of online weight-care offers, most used memberships and billed medicine separately.

A membership is a recurring fee for access to a service. Ask what it includes, how often it renews, and how cancellation works.

Request the ongoing fee alongside any first-month offer. Ask whether tests, result reviews, and later visits cost extra.

## The medicine price needs a label

GLP-1 medicines copy a signal in the body involved with appetite and blood sugar.

A drug company’s cash price is its offer for patients paying for the medicine without using insurance.

Most of these advertised monthly medicine prices fell between $149 and $499 as of September 2026; the product, strength, and offer terms determined the price.

For example, under a Zepbound cash offer, keeping the price after the first fill at that strength requires refilling within 45 days after the previous delivery.

Missing that deadline can raise the price for some higher-strength products; other medicines have different terms.

Depending on the product, a month may refer to 28 days, pens supplied in a box, or tablets supplied in a bottle.

Ask: Can I use this offer? How much medicine is included? When must I refill? What would I pay after the first offer ends?

These are medicine figures, not a complete care quote. Request a price tied to the precise product and form proposed for you.

## Keep the quote separate from the care decision

If cost limits the options you can consider, say so. Ask which options the clinician can explain, and what each complete plan would cost. A lower headline price still needs an itemised answer.
