# What can a review help you ask?

Turn a review into a question about the visit you want.

## Look for a detail you can ask about

Was the review about a rushed visit, a bill, an unanswered message, or the treatment itself? Keep those topics apart as you read.

If time to talk matters to you, ask how the visit is set up. If a bill worries you, request the price terms. Keep your questions tied to details.

## Check the person behind the name

The office responsible for licensing doctors, called a state medical board, can show a doctor’s current licence status and any penalties on the public record.

A record showing no penalties leaves the quality of the doctor’s care unanswered.

Match the full name rather than a shared surname. Ask the service who would actually see you before you look up a person mentioned in a review.

## Do badges settle the question?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) warns that health websites may use fake seals and logos to seem official.

Ask what a badge means and where its record can be checked. Then return to your question about the care.

## Bring the question, not a verdict

You can ask how a service handles a concern without deciding that a review is right or wrong. Ask for a clear process: who replies, how you hear back, and what happens if you want to leave.
